Last updated: 12/06/2026
In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” means Taupō Moana Group Holdings Limited, trading as Lake Taupō Hole in One Challenge and Ball Blaster Taupō.
By using our websites, making a booking, purchasing balls, entering the venue, or taking part in an activity, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, including the relevant house rules.
1. General Terms & Conditions
1.1 Our activities
Lake Taupō Hole in One Challenge and Ball Blaster Taupō are interactive lakefront activities based at 61 Lake Terrace, Taupō.
Activities may include golf shots, ball launching, competitions, prizes, group bookings, venue hire, café visits, events and other related experiences.
All activities involve some level of risk. We take reasonable and practicable steps to provide a safe and enjoyable experience, but customers must also take care, follow staff instructions, and act responsibly at all times.
1.2 Website use
The information on our websites is provided for general information and booking purposes. We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but details such as pricing, opening hours, activities, prizes, availability and offers may change from time to time.
We may update, remove or change website content at any time without notice.
You must not misuse our websites, attempt to interfere with their operation, or use them for unlawful, misleading or harmful purposes.
1.3 Bookings and payments
Bookings and purchases may be made through our website, third-party booking platforms, or directly with our team.
A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive confirmation.
Prices are shown in New Zealand dollars unless stated otherwise. We may change prices at any time, but confirmed bookings will not be affected unless there has been an obvious error.
Some bookings may be for a timed session. Other purchases may give you access to balls or activities during operating hours, rather than a fixed timeslot. Please check the booking details carefully before purchasing.
You are responsible for making sure your booking details are correct, including the activity, date, time, number of players and contact details.
1.4 Arrival and late arrivals
Please arrive in good time for your booking or session. For timed bookings, we recommend arriving at least 10 minutes early.
If you are late, we will do our best to fit you in, but this may not always be possible. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, delayed session, or loss of booking, depending on availability.
1.5 Cancellations, changes and refunds
Unless stated otherwise on the booking page, bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the booked time.
Cancellations within 24 hours of the booking, late arrivals, or no-shows may be non-refundable.
If we need to cancel, postpone or change an activity due to weather, safety, staffing, maintenance, operational issues, lake conditions, or circumstances outside our control, we may offer to reschedule your booking or provide a refund.
Refunds may be processed back to the original payment method and may take several working days depending on the payment provider.
1.6 Weather and operating conditions
We operate in a lakefront environment and conditions can change quickly.
Activities may continue in light rain or changing weather where it is safe to do so. We may pause, delay, change or cancel activities if we believe conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.
Customers should dress for the conditions and take care on wet or uneven surfaces.
1.7 Safety and customer behaviour
All customers must follow staff instructions, posted signage and house rules.
We may refuse entry, stop participation, remove a person from the activity, or cancel a booking without refund if we believe a person:
- is acting unsafely;
- is under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
- is abusive, aggressive or disruptive;
- ignores staff instructions;
- damages or misuses equipment;
- puts themselves, staff, other customers or property at risk; or
- breaches these Terms or the house rules.
Customers are responsible for their own actions and for supervising children or people in their care.
1.8 Children and supervision
Children are welcome, but must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Some activities may have age guidance, height guidance, or supervision requirements. These may change depending on the activity, conditions and staff assessment.
For golf, children under 6 years old are not permitted in the golf bays.
For Ball Blaster, children aged 10 and younger must be supervised on the blasters at all times.
1.9 Health, ability and accessibility
Our activities are designed to be fun and accessible for a wide range of people, including beginners.
You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for you or for anyone you are booking on behalf of. Please tell our team before taking part if you have any injury, health condition, disability, mobility issue or other concern that may affect your ability to participate safely.
We will do our best to assist where reasonable and practical.
1.10 Equipment
Equipment supplied by us must be used safely and only as instructed.
You must not damage, misuse, remove or interfere with equipment. If equipment is not working properly, stop using it and speak to a staff member.
Customers may be responsible for loss or damage caused by deliberate misuse, reckless behaviour or failure to follow instructions.
1.11 Prizes and competitions
Prizes may be available for selected activities, flags, competitions or promotions.
Prize availability, prize values, eligibility criteria and claim processes may change from time to time. Prizes are subject to the specific rules displayed on-site, on the website, or communicated by staff.
To be eligible for a prize, a shot must be taken from the approved playing area, using approved equipment or balls, and must be verified by our team.
Staff decisions on prize eligibility, scoring, verification and disputes are final.
We may require proof of identity, contact details, photo or video verification, and any other reasonable information before awarding a prize.
Unless stated otherwise, prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
1.12 Personal belongings
You are responsible for your own personal belongings while visiting the venue.
Please keep valuables secure. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, wet or damaged personal items, except where required by law.
1.13 Photos and video
We may take photos or video at the venue for promotional, social media, safety, training or operational purposes.
If you do not want to be photographed or filmed, please let our team know. We will take reasonable steps to respect your request.
If you share photos, videos or comments with us, tag us on social media, or give us permission to use your content, you agree that we may repost or use that content for promotional purposes, unless you tell us otherwise.
1.14 Gift cards, vouchers and promotions
Gift cards, vouchers, discounts and promotions may have their own terms, expiry dates and restrictions.
Promotions cannot usually be combined unless stated otherwise.
We may change, pause or end promotions at any time.
1.15 Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, travel costs, accommodation costs, or other costs arising from delays, cancellations, changes to activities, weather, safety decisions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
1.16 Privacy
We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
This may include information needed to manage bookings, enquiries, payments, prizes, promotions, safety matters and customer communications.
1.17 Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will be published on our website. Continued use of our websites, bookings or venue after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.

2. Ball Blaster House Rules
These house rules apply to all Ball Blaster customers and spectators.
Ball Blaster is designed to be fun, safe and easy to use when operated correctly. Please follow these rules, follow all staff instructions, and use common sense while on the deck.
2.1 Wait for balls before touching the blasters
Please do not touch, aim, load or shoot the blasters until you have your balls and staff have confirmed you are ready to play.
2.2 Logo balls only
Only approved Hole in One logo balls may be used in the Ball Blasters.
Do not load any other objects, balls or items into the blasters.
2.3 One ball at a time
Load one ball into the blaster, fire it, then load the next ball.
Do not load multiple balls at once.
2.4 Aim only toward the pontoon
Blasters must only be aimed toward the approved target area and floating pontoon.
Do not aim at people, buildings, boats, wildlife, the café, the deck, or any other area.
2.5 Keep hands and body clear
Keep hands, fingers, clothing and personal items clear of the blaster while loading, aiming or firing.
Do not place your face, hands or body over the firing area.
2.6 No swinging or hanging
Do not swing from, hang from, climb on, pull on, lean heavily on, or misuse the blasters.
The blasters are activity equipment, not play equipment.
2.7 Children must be supervised
Children aged 10 and younger must be supervised on the blasters at all times by a responsible adult.
Adults are responsible for making sure children follow staff instructions and use the equipment safely.
2.8 If something goes wrong, stop and ask staff
If the blaster is not working as expected, stop using it and ask a staff member for help.
Do not try to fix, force, adjust or dismantle the blaster yourself.
2.9 Follow staff instructions
Staff may pause or stop play at any time for safety, weather, maintenance, customer behaviour or operational reasons.
Anyone who misuses the blasters or ignores instructions may be removed from the activity without refund.
2.10 Happy shooting
We want everyone to have a safe, fun and fair shot at the flags. Thanks for following the rules and helping keep the deck safe for everyone.
3. Hole in One House Rules
These house rules apply to Hole in One Classic, Night Golf, Group Bookings, competitions, casual play and any other golf-based activity at the venue.
3.1 Check in before playing
Please check in with our team before starting your round.
Staff will confirm your booking or purchase, provide your balls and equipment, and explain the flags, prizes and playing area.
3.2 Use the designated tee area
Golf shots must only be taken from the approved tee area or bay.
Do not swing clubs outside the designated playing area.
3.3 One player at a time
Only one player should swing in a bay at a time.
Wait until the area is clear and safe before taking your shot.
Spectators and other players must remain behind the player and outside the swing zone.
3.4 Swing safely
Always check your surroundings before swinging.
Do not swing near other people, staff, children, furniture, barriers, windows, equipment or café areas.
No reckless swinging, horseplay, running with clubs, or unsafe behaviour is allowed.
3.5 Clubs and balls
Clubs and balls are supplied unless staff approve otherwise for a specific session, group booking or competition.
Use equipment as instructed and return it after your round.
Please tell staff if a club, ball, tee mat or other item is damaged or not working properly.
3.6 Children must be supervised
Children are welcome but must be supervised by a responsible adult.
Adults are responsible for making sure children stay behind the swing area, follow staff instructions, and play safely.
3.7 Stay on the deck
Do not climb over barriers, enter restricted areas, attempt to access the lake, or try to retrieve balls.
Balls are recovered by trained staff or contractors as part of our operations.
3.8 Prizes and winning shots
To be eligible for a prize, a winning shot must be taken:
- from the approved tee area;
- during an approved round or session;
- using approved balls and equipment;
- in accordance with staff instructions; and
- in a way that can be verified by our team.
Staff decisions on whether a shot counts, whether a prize is won, and how a prize is awarded are final.
Prize rules may vary depending on the flag, activity, event, promotion or competition.
3.9 Weather and deck conditions
Take care on the deck, especially when surfaces are wet.
Closed-toe or secure footwear is recommended.
We may pause or stop play if weather, wind, lake conditions, visibility, lighting or other factors make it unsafe or unsuitable to continue.
3.10 Respect other players and staff
Please be respectful to staff, other players, spectators, neighbours and visitors.
Abusive, unsafe, aggressive or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
3.11 Alcohol and impairment
Customers must not take part if they are impaired by alcohol, drugs or anything else that may affect their ability to participate safely.
Staff may refuse or stop participation if they believe someone is impaired or unsafe.
3.12 Follow staff instructions
Staff may stop, pause, move or adjust play at any time for safety, weather, maintenance, operational reasons or customer behaviour.
Anyone who ignores instructions or breaches the house rules may be removed from the activity without refund.
3.13 Have fun and take your shot
The challenge is simple: line up the floating green, take your shot, and enjoy the near misses as much as the good ones. Play fair, stay safe, and have a crack.
