The wind blew from the South and South West in gusts of up to 20knots which made for plenty of capsizing and eventful racing on the final day.

Taupo was pleased to host the Optimist Class racing over the past week.

Swiss Rowing team
The world rowing champs are being held at Lake Karapiro in early November. Taupo is hosting four of the teams. Pictured here are four of the big boys in the Swiss rowing team.

Neil Dodds comes from Perth and scores his first Hole in One
Neil from Perth scored his first hole in one and the delight was on his face was priceless. Neil spent an extra day in the Taupo area to do the quad bike ride. He reported back to us glowing with the experience.
