The Chiefs rugby franchise booked the Hole in One for an hour whilst travelling to an away game against the Crusaders at Napier. Sounds strange but the Crusaders have no home ground because of earthquake damage to Lancaster Park / AMI Stadium.
We organised a sponsors versus players competition. The sponsors cleaned up! But Mils Muliaina and Richard Kahui did hit the pontoon and keep the sponsors honest.
We also had the boys hit the new Taylormade Drivers and Richard Kahui was the longest as 265 metres. Not quite as long as Piri Weepu who hit 273 at Christmas - on one leg!
The Hawkes Bay Rugby Union sponsors bus booked the site for an hour and a half on friday. The bus pulled up with 50 sponsors on board on route to Rotorua for the Bay of Plenty match. A must win points match for Hawkes Bay.
The Magpies won in the final seconds when Israel Dagg cross-kicked for Zac Guildford to run onto and score in the corner. Breathtaking stuff.
We would have loved to have been on the bus on the way home...
Simply email us or phone us and we will make the site exclusively available to you.
for example: The National Bank booked the site for 1.5 hours from 4-5.30pm on Wednesday. They had 35 people. We arranged prizes - hats, visors and balls. We counted every ball that hit the pontoon and provided statistics on who was the best in group. We also arranged for a long drive competition.
The Manawatu Turbos made an event on 7th August on route to their NPC clash with Waikato on Saturday. As well as going for the Hole in One they recorded the long drives of every player and gave a prize to the longest drive - 284 yards! Well done guys.
